  2. Polygon cutouts (only with exactly 4 points so far)
  3. Cutout area inverts automatically with the zenith/nadir settings

There will be an update on this version soon where the following will be addressed:

  1. Variable number of polygon points
  2. Speed/quality settings

Love the stuff you’ve added to the gamma version. Any chance you can make that available as a standalone download? Also, I don’t seem to be able to use tiff format anymore.

I’m actually having trouble getting photos to load up into it….even jpg and png. They just don”t show up. It seems inconsistent on what will load into it.

    Hey Mark,

About the standalone download: I’ve stopped with the downloadable versions because people are often hesitant to download software from an unknown publisher. Also I wanted to create an online app for the sake of learning a new thing. Unfortunately I don’t have enough spare time to maintain two versions, so it is very unlikely I will ever revive the downloadable one.

About the tiff format: I rely on a third party library to do reading and writing of image files. Unfortunately this library does not support tiff files. So I’m afraid you’re stuck with png.

About the load problem: I haven’t bumped into such problems before. Is the problem reliably reproducable? I mean, is it always the same images that cause the problem? Does the problem occur right when you load the image first thing after loading the app? Maybe you could email me (see contact page) one of those image so I can fix the bug.

I was able to make some of the same images I had problems with work when I tried it again. I will let you know if there is any consistency to the problem. If there is ever a chance to create a new downloadable version with the current features, it would be easier to use and I would be able to use it even if you decide not to maintain the website. The program is really excellent and you have made it better with the new features in gamma. Have you checked out some of the things I have done with it with my smoke work? Links below:

  5. Thanks for your software! I used it to make a Thanksgiving card. Here it is.
